4th October 2007, SundayFor the first time after the fasting month, a football meet up was arranged between Strachtlyde University(SU) vs Glasgow University(GU). The game which was played by Brunei Students from both universities was part of the activities to foster a closer ties among them especially for the newcomers.
The game turned out to be a handicap match after GU was only able to field 5 players instead of 6 players. However, that did not affect the GU team spirit. With the quality players namely Khairul Anwar, Nazri, Khairuddin, Kenny and Kevin, GU was able to be in command throughout the game. SU was unable to find their tempo although several attempts were made over the GU defense. According to a reliable source, SU players were unfit at the time of the game which might be the reason for their underperformance. The game ended with GU won over SU.
